"Roma Zig Zag"

Acquario Romano, Rome (Italy) 2002

Private Commission

The exhibition was set up in the former Acquario Romano, an elaborate art nouveau building dating back to the end of the nineteenth century, situated in the historical city centre of Rome. The installation was arranged as a development of the existing building’s architectural features. An elliptical space was created in the centre of the large oval room, and an abstract map of Rome was drawn on the floor, indicating the locations of the shops listed. Departing radially from this space are the narrow alleys described on the copper exhibition panels prepared especially for the exhibition.
