Casa Tirrenea
Tuscan countryside, (Italy) 2024
The villa, currently in an advanced stage of construction, is nestled in the Maremma hills, opening up to the view of the sea and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. The harmonious serenity of the landscape is reflected in the dominant horizontal progression of the three levels into which the building is divided. On the intermediate floor, there is the main entrance which is accessed directly from the car port located on the slope towards the hills. This level is dedicated to the main living spaces: living room/kitchen, master area and guest bedrooms. Each room has an external access, both to the loggia/terrace open to the panorama and to the private gardens behind.
The basement floor houses the garage, service areas and a spa open to the wooden deck surrounding the swimming pool. On the highest level of the building there is an attic also equipped with a large panoramic terrace. Two internal staircases connect the three levels The pitched roof, the roof and facade coverings in special terracotta elements, the lime-treated plasters, give the building an innovative appearance but at the same time respectful of the architectural features and construction traditions of rural architecture in Tuscany.
